Company History

• Founded in 1946 by Charles Vowels and Burt McCombs in Los Angeles, California, as an independently-owned electrical distributor.
• From the onset, Charles Vowels and Burt McCombs established the company’s philosophy of focusing on the needs of the customer and being a service-driven organization.
• In 1985, Paul Vowels, son of Charles Vowels, became President and Owner of Main Electric Supply Company (“Main Electric”).
• In March 2002, Main Electric opened a branch in Irvine, California to better service its customers in Orange County.
• By the fall of 2005, Main Electric opened a third location in Rancho Cucamonga, California to better service its customers in San Bernardino County.
